Horse WIP

So I went through one of those dry periods, which I'm still chugging through.  Inspiration was low and what I did sketch I was very indecisive about.  Finally a little voice in my head said, "It's time for a horse."  And indeed, it had been a very long time.  So, I took ten minutes and sketched out this handsome steed, placed him on the wood and began burning.

Normally, I don't have the patience to burn large backgrounds and vast areas, but horses hold my attention.  The lighting on this one is particularly fun, and I had a blast with the mane and forelock.

I'm not finished yet, but here's a peek at my progress.

See my Facebook:  Phoenix Pyrocreations Pyrography for more details.

I am really excited to make prints of this one.

Thanks for coming!

Thank you Jen! Unfortunately, I cannot wood burn at this time to finish the piece as we are remodeling the house and I had to pack it all away! I hope to return to it soon enough though, at least in time for the fair in October.
